High School Abroad > Classic High School Exchange in France

From my perspective, I would recommend Nacel to other students/families as our experience with Emily’s exchange was positive.  Nacel supported us through the entire process from initial application, to acceptance and payment to the visa application process.  The visa application process was the most complicated part of the process but the complexity with that was due to the requirement of the third-party provider here in Australia who assists with the granting of the French Visas.  The rest of the process was relatively smooth.  What we really liked was that the host families who Nacel found for the students were not compensated so they seemed to be participating for the right reasons and were genuinely invested in the process. Emily’s host family was just beautiful and welcomed her completely into their family. Her host sister’s were also a perfect match as they were the same age as Emily.  While school initially was challenging and there were very few other girls, Emily settled in and loved the school experience and was sad to leave!

I hope this finds you well.  Last year around this time, my son Aaron spent 5 weeks in Nemours, France on a homestay and high school program. He had such a wonderful experience that he kept studying French after returning to Japan. In November, he ended up placing first in the intermediate level of a French speech contest held by the Embassy of France in Japan.  The award is 4 weeks of studying French at a university language school in Besancon this coming August.  I wanted to thank you for starting him on this adventure and for placing him in such a wonderful environment. Homestay Immersion > French Host family and School Immersion in France

My name is Caleb and I went to Niort for three weeks.

I enjoyed my stay, especially going to school. The classes were really interesting, because there were a lot of classes that I don't have at home. The courses in question covered subjects that I do not learn at home, such as the Renaissance in history, or the gap years in English. I think the teachers were really nice, because they made a lot of effort to include me and make me feel comfortable. Finally, all of Timeo's friends (the boy in the host family) were really welcoming – they treated me like one of them.

During the weekends, I visited the region and surrounding towns, such as Nantes, Futuroscope, and La Rochelle. I liked these little visits because they introduced me more to French culture, and I learned a lot of history and saw beautiful landscapes. I especially liked Nantes.

You have to get used to the cultural differences, but I enjoyed it. For example, we spend a lot of time at home – not too many activities outside of school. The homework was not too long, so I spent some time without doing too much, while at home when we have free time on a tendency to spend it together. But it was interesting for me to get used to it, and I liked this immersion.

The host family was really nice and welcoming to me. For example, the mother cooked me a lot of French recipes so that I could eat French food. I went to boxing with Timeo, who included me in that, and I had a great time. They also introduced me to family friends, which I appreciated.

I think I made progress in the language. I think now I speak faster and more naturally. Sometimes during my stay, I realized that I was thinking in French, and not in English, and I think that was mainly the aim of the program. Currently in my French class I find that I speak much faster, especially when I talk to the teacher.

This is an update on my homestay experience with the D. family thus far. It has been excellent! The school was great, my host brother made it easy for me to meet people and find my way around school, I was surprised at how much I enjoyed my week of school. The teachers and students were very welcoming and after the first day, I was feeling comfortable. My host family has been ideal also, I’ve had no problems and they’ve facilitated me in every way. I’ve met lots of H's extended family and they are all very welcoming. So far I’ve seen the Christmas markets, explored Paris and its icons, the Amiens gothic cathedral, the Christmas markets, explored the town by bike, met friends and family of my family and much more. I am truly loving my time here and look forward to every day. We are currently setting up the house for Christmas which is enjoyable and lots of family will be arriving soon. The trip is going as well as I could hope for it to be. I am very happy here.

I am Tess, an 18-year-old outgoing girl from the United States. I embarked on a transformative journey to Argentina last year as part of a two-term program.

Settling in the picturesque town of Arroyito in the Córdoba Province, just 115 km (71 mi) east of Córdoba, I immersed myself in the local culture and community.

During my exchange, I seamlessly integrated into the school community, creating lasting connections and fostering a sense of belonging. The prom party stood out as one of my most unforgettable moments.

Argentinian high school students, especially during their last year, have traditions like custom class shirts, hoodies, and memorable graduation trips, often coinciding with their 18th birthday, adding an extra layer of significance to this period of transition.

My experience with the Private tutor was very beneficial for my German. I now feel that I have a more solid foundation underneath the skills that I had picked up at German A level and this is thanks to the time that I spent with Sabine and Michael and due to the fact that I was expected to speak in the language for the majority of the time.

I would say that it was quite hard on some of the days to fit in the required amount of German however this was mostly ok. Furthermore ,there were and still are some issues with particular vowels that I pronounce wrong that weren’t completely resolved during this time however I was pointed in the right direction many times in order to keep improving this after I left.

My 16y old daughter Debasri went from Canada to France for home stay program for a quarter of academic year. The best part of this program for her was to be part of the host family. We thank NACEL from the bottom of our heart for finding this wonderful family.

Despite the difference in language, nationality, race, religion , diet and many more things, Debasri became part of the family. We see tears in her eyes when she talks about them, that is the hard part. Hopefully, we will meet them soon.

We received confirmation of acceptance to the program several months before time for travel and the letters from host family put us at ease. Céline and Jojanneke from NACEL kept in touch with us throughout the process. We were quite anxious about travel between airport and host family. But it worked out fine as arranged by NACEL. - Maniti, Debasri's mother -

It really was life changing for Guy and something he will never forget. He made so many friends and most importantly, he became a young man and grew up a lot and became even more resilient and determined to keep reaching for bigger and better things for himself.
He gained a big sense of self confidence. In Japan, he realized that it was up to him to stretch and make sure he made solid connections with people and he really did that with all 3 families he stayed with, and then gained the confidence to engage fully at school. So much so they asked him to be part of their new flyer to advertise the school to new students!

In addition, he met lots of kids from different countries through the program and now is excited to make plans once travel can resume to meet these, as well as his Japanese friends, in the future, either in Europe, the US or Japan. Not bad for age 16! I believe his mind was really opened and he blossomed. Even though he went there to improve his language skills, in his mind, he actually got a lot more from the program than he expected but it was better than we hoped for as his parents.

I know that these programs are invaluable for their cultural educational opportunities and for improving education and giving young people a really strong foundation.

When my daughter Riley turned 10, we wanted her to have a summer experience abroad to learn French. Nacel recommended that we postpone the project because she was still very young and did not know French at all. We enrolled her in French courses so that she would be ready for this program in 2019. This summer, my daughter was accepted into the program because she was already 13 years old and had an A2-B1 level of French. Her family was very kind to her and I am very grateful to them. She had fun in France. Estelle taught my daughter how to cook some nice and easy salads. I am very happy with Nacel's service and professionalism.  If in the future, my daughter feels ready to do a school exchange in France, I will contact Nacel because we are like family.

We are overwhelmed with the hospitality and kindness everyone including those in Nacel and, of course, the entire family has shown Hannah over these last months.  It is our feeling that Hannah really does love her host family and all the opportunities they have created for her and we believe that Hannah is gaining tangible and immediate benefits from this experience not only by improving her French but by learning about herself including her strengths and weaknesses.

My parents came with me and dropped me off at tennis camp. The first few minutes I felt very sad. But when I got to my room and met Marie, everything changed. I will always be grateful for her kindness. The camp director was also very attentive to me and the other international students in the French courses. The courses were in groups. The French teacher was very kind, attentive and patient. Days at the camp go by very quickly! Next week is my second week at camp and I don't want to leave!

Summer Camps > French courses for High School students in Lyon

I'll never forget the good times during this programme. I met many new friends of different nationalities in the courses. We all got along very well from the beginning. We had many things in common, such as learning French, getting to know Paris and coming to study in France in the near future. The teacher was very kind and the residence where we stayed was clean and comfortable.

It's been a really nice experience. It's not the first time I've participated in a summer camp, but it's the first time I've gone abroad. I really want to come back next year!

International boarding school in Paris

The boarding school in Paris is in good condition and the teachers are very attentive. For my first exchange, I did well. When you are motivated, anything is possible! Walking around Paris almost every weekend has been a real dream!! There are monuments worth visiting such as the Louvre, Orsay..well.. all museums , the famous Eiffel tower (it's huge), the Champs elysées. My favorite place is and will always be: Montmartre!

My daughter Claudia had a lot of fun at the German camp. She met new friends and the host family was very kind with her. I was in contact with them.  She left with a very basic German and now she is saying a few phrases at home. Thank you very much for your assistance.

During my semester in the U.S.A,  I was constantly surrounded by friendly people; from my host family, teachers to classmates. I would definetely recommend this program to anyone who is seeking for personal growth and development, adventures, fun and lifelong friendships!

High School Abroad > High School Exchange in Italy

Thank you very much for all your help. I've been to a high school in the south of Italy for a quarter and it's been wonderful! At first, it was difficult to adapt because my Italian was not so perfect. Now I feel very comfortable speaking Italian and singing songs in Italian! I love opera and the arts and having lived in Italy for a while has been a dream come true!

High School Abroad > High School Exchange in Madrid (Select program)

I feel like I'm doing all my best during this High school exchange in Madrid program. I study every day after school and do my homework. If I don't understand something, I know the Ramirez can help me or my teachers at school. I prefer to study all week so I have free time on weekends for my hobbies: skateboarding, shopping with my friends and spending time with my host family. I love going out with them. They always know where to eat well or find books at good prices.

Studying in France is the best! The Nacel team is very close to you and you are always listening. I had a lot of support from my local coordinator, Amelie! The advice I could give to students interested in doing a school exchange in France is to make the most of their time! It doesn't matter if you don't speak French very well, the important thing is that you try and don't watch videos or listen to the radio of your country of origin.

Montpellier is an adorable city! I've fallen in love with la place de la comedie! My friend likes me too! We went three weeks to improve our French and to change some airs. The Bélanger family treated us very well and the room was clean and welcoming. I highly recommend this program if you are looking for French courses with accommodation at an affordable price.

Summer Camps > Sports Training Basketball summer camp in France

I went with my friend Pau to the camps in France and we had fun together. The guys on the team were very nice to us and when we asked them to speak more slowly, they did it. We hope to come back next summer in July and see the same kids again, but if we meet other kids, that's okay too.

I loved it! The facilities were clean and good! I felt very comfortable playing tennis with French girls and boys. I had never met many French before. So it was a nice experience. Everyone was very nice to me. I learned new phrases like: J'arrive, je mange là, je t'aime ma copine!

Language School > English Courses for Juniors in London

This summer course enabled me to meet and speak English with many people, which really improved my confidence. It’s a very practical course, and I learnt a lot of new vocabulary and grammatical structures; not only in the classroom, but also outside the classroom visiting London. I got to visit the famous sights of London, learn about the history of the city, and practise my English. I was able to see London from a different perspective! It has been great fun, I really enjoyed it!

High School Abroad > High School exchange in Boarding schools in the South of France

Studying in France was the best thing that ever happened to me! The food, the people, the architecture is great. Thank you very much Nacel for accepting me into your school exchange program. The boarding school is spectacular for those who want to concentrate well on their studies. At first, if you don't have very good French (like mine when I arrived) you'll feel that it's difficult to keep up with school, but it's normal because you've just arrived. The teachers are very attentive and listen to students who are interested in applying themselves to their studies. I recommend this program 100%.

Since the Turkish and Arab TV series arrived in Chile, I became very interested in the culture of the Middle East. Learning Arabic in Morocco has been a decision that has changed my life. It has been a beautiful experience to have left my country to live something completely new. I am very grateful to everyone on the team. Thank you very much for this experience!
