Live with your teacher and improve your Dutch by being immersed in the Dutch language and culture! We offer private language lessons in the teacher's home in the Netherlands. This 1- to-1 home tuition program is proven to be one of the most effective ways to learn a language in a short period! With these individual tailor-made Dutch language lessons, you will significantly improve your Dutch skills. 

You live with your Dutch teacher and share meals and social interactions. This way, even when you are not attending class, you will make rapid progress. It is a very intensive way of learning a language since you study AND live in your teacher’s home. Our intensive Dutch language immersion programs are the key to your success!

What should I expect from my one-to-one Dutch lessons?

Each student is hosted by a private teacher with native Dutch language skills. Thus, the home tuition program offers a full language and cultural immersion. Wherever the student chooses to stay, there will be a vast array of wonderful things to discover and take in. Total immersion guaranteed! The Dutch lessons will cover the four skills of the language learning process: listening to Dutch, reading, speaking, and writing Dutch. 

We also offer special programs to help improve school or university levels and prepare for Dutch exams.

The teacher is also the host for the accommodation, giving the student a unique opportunity for full integration into the local environment. When you book your private language course at your teacher's house you can choose between 15, 20, or 25 hours of Dutch lessons.

Closer Supervision (<18 years old)

Is teacher’s home tuition suitable for my child or my teen?

Sure. We ensure that your child is welcomed by a teacher who will take great care of him, his safety and his welfare. The teacher will also adapt the language course to the skills and specific needs of a child.

We offer a close supervision option for children traveling alone. The course is designed for younger students and meets their needs. The homestay will be in a friendly and caring family and guarantees the presence of an adult member of the family at all times. This option is available for students under 18 and is compulsory for students aged 12 or under.

Special Needs: please inquire about the availability for adults and children with special needs.

TIP! Our tips for a child or a teen: This language learning program has been quite intense, we do not advise you to book it for more than 2-3 weeks. Students under 18 must book General Activities or Cultural Visits in addition to their private lessons. Consult us to learn more about all extracurricular options!

Cultural visits

What better way to get to know the town you are staying in, then with your teacher as your private guide!

Visit local highlights in places such as Berlin, Cologne or Munich. Depending on where you are staying in Germany. Your teacher will also be your guide and show you around his beloved region.

Sports

Stay active while practicing your German. There are several sports you can choose from like horse riding, tennis or golf. The sessions are usually individual but sometimes take place with a group depending on your level, on the time of year and location.

Leisure Options's Price include: accompanied visits, transport & entrance fees where applicable

You will live in your own private teacher's home, on full board accommodation, in Amsterdam or Central Holland.

All meals will be included. This is a total linguistic, cultural, and social immersion with Dutch native speakers. You eat, sleep, and learn at your teacher's home.

Hosts can vary from two adults and one or more children to one-parent hosts, couples without children or with older children who have left home, and hosts who live alone.

We will do our best to find you the perfect match and present you with the best options. Families are located in Amsterdam area or Central Holland.

Students should arrive on a Sunday and depart on a Saturday.

So if you would like to share a private language course with your best friend or family member, we can arrange this for you. We even offer a discount! Please inquire about the possibilities.

From Beginner to Advanced. The private language course is tailor-made to your Dutch level. 

This program is suitable for all ages from 12 to 99. We also offer a Close Supervision option for under-aged travelers from the age of 12.
