Overview

Why choose Nacel's soccer summer camp in France?

Nacel's Soccer Summer Camp in France gives teenagers the opportunity to improve their football skills while experiencing everyday life with French teenagers. This intensive residential soccer camp takes place in Mâcon, Burgundy, during July and August, with one- and two-week stays available.

Designed for boys and girls who already play soccer at a club, the program combines over 30 hours of football training per week, professional coaching, and full French language immersion.

Where does the soccer summer camp take place?

The soccer camp is held at the Omnisports Center of Mâcon (COM), in Burgundy, France. Located in a green park setting near the Saône River, the campus provides a residential environment where teenagers can train, eat, relax, and participate in activities together.

The sports complex includes natural and synthetic soccer fields, a futsal court, a covered sports hall, outdoor tennis courts, and other recreational facilities.

What soccer training will teenagers receive?

Our intensive football camp offers approximately six hours of soccer training per day, Monday through Friday, led by certified French coaches with experience training young players in sports clubs and schools.

With one coach for every 7 participants, players are grouped by age and skill level to ensure training is appropriate for their abilities.
Training sessions focus on several aspects of the game:
  • Technical skills: Dribbling, passing, feints, ball control, and defensive techniques.
  • Tactical awareness: Attacking and defending strategies, positioning, and teamwork.
  • Match practice: Daily games, precision challenges, and mini-tournaments.
  • Physical and mental preparation: Recovery, concentration, confidence, and preparation for competition.
  • Performance analysis: Video analysis, individual feedback, and opportunities to evaluate progress.
The program is designed for intermediate to advanced players who enjoy challenging themselves and improving their performance in a team environment.

How can teenagers improve their French at a soccer summer camp?

At Nacel's soccer camp in France, students practice French naturally while playing the sport. Most campers are French, and French is the main language used by coaches, teammates, and camp staff. From understanding coaching instructions and discussing tactics to sharing meals and participating in evening activities, international students have opportunities to use French throughout the day.

There are no formal French language lessons in this program. Instead, students learn through real conversations and everyday interactions with French-speaking teenagers.

Participants must have studied French for at least two years and be willing to communicate in French throughout their stay. This creates an immersive environment where students can develop their listening skills, speaking confidence, and friendships while focusing on soccer.

This was the very first time that I try Nacel to arrange a 14 day football camp in France for my son. Before the trip, the staff were very helpful and gave prompt reply to all the questions. Because my son traveled alone, it was very important for prompt and timely arrangement from the agent. It was really impressed for the arrangement from Hong Kong to Paris with everything on time and smooth

Staff are caring and helpful. My son enjoyed the camp a lot, especially with the teammates and the French learning environment. He said that for the first few days, he couldn’t catch up a word there even though he has studied French in Hong Kong for 10 years. But after 3 to 4 days, he got used to the language environment and communicating very well with the kids and the leaders.

The camp was not just focused on football, but there were other extracurricular activities like tree climbing and colour run and swimming which were fun

One suggestion, I highly recommend the school to hire a professional photographer so they can capture all the memories nicely

We will definitely come back next year

Nacel, since we contacted them about these summer camps in France.. they have been very kind to us. They organized a supervised transfer for Sebastian and made sure he felt comfortable at this soccer camp. Sebastian had a great time playing football, his passion. With his father we are happy with Nacel's services.

“The camp was a wonderful experience for Ruth. She made great friends, enjoyed the freedom to spend quality, phone-free time with the other students, and felt well looked after throughout her stay, even during the very hot weather.
The sports programme was excellent, with the right level of challenge and a great variety of activities, including tennis and swimming. The international environment also gave her the opportunity to use French while communicating with students from different countries. It was the perfect first experience of French for her.
We would happily recommend the programme, and the support provided by Nacel from beginning to end was excellent.”
