Japanese language camp in Tokyo: Stay with a Japanese family, take Japanese courses and enjoy the activities offered! 

Participants will have the opportunity to participate in a language course with cultural activities in Tokyo!

During their stay in Tokyo, students will receive language courses at our partner school in the capital city. This school has all the modern facilities and a group of qualified professionals in the field of education. Every year, students from all over the world join this program, as it offers structured and effective Japanese language classes as well as cultural activities with an insight into the everyday Japanese lifestyle. Language courses in Tokyo take place during the summer and should be requested 5 months prior to your arrival.

As a student of the language course (20 lessons per week - beginners welcome), you will also have the opportunity to attend 3 "Experience classes" each Saturday to discover the tea ceremony, Japanese pottery, manga drawing, cosplay courses, and more! Other activities are arranged daily on weekdays as well. 

About Tokyo

School location

The school was created 2013 and provides 8 classrooms. Classrooms are equipped with teaching technology and are fully air-conditioned.  The school also offers a large student lounge area with TV, movie projector, videogames, manga/anime library, free coffee and tea, etc. The school is located just minutes on foot from Shinjuku Station, the busiest train station in the world! 

The summer camp in Tokyo combines the best and most fun activities with extra weekday activities that teenage students are sure to love. Studying in Tokyo during the summer has never been so exciting.

Specific activities change according to season, location and availability. Classes and activities may be shared with adult students, but will always be supervised by school staff.

3 Saturday workshops are included, like tea ceremony, Japanese pottery, manga drawing, cosplay courses ansd more!  

Additional activities can be booked directly with the school.

In Tokyo, you will stay with a host family. Families are located up to an hour by public transport from the school. If you prefer to stay closer to school in a residence, we recommend the summer camp in Fukuoka.

Staying with a carefully selected Japanese host family in Tokyo is the perfect way to immerse yourself in the culture and practice at "home" what you have learned at school that day. The host family will support you and be a resource in your adventure in Japan. 

In your room you will have:

• Bed (sheets/blankets/etc provided)
  
• Desk and chair
• Air conditioning
• Internet (not guaranteed, and might be wired‐access only, so bring your own LAN cable or buy a cheap wifi router from school if required)
• Closet (not guaranteed)/clothes rack

If you are a minor in Japan, you have a curfew of 11:00 PM. The package includes accommodation half board (Breakfast and Dinner) 

Lunch is available at restaurants/cafes close to school (not included)

BEGINNERS WELCOME In TOKYO! 

You don’t need to speak Japanese in order to enroll in this summer camp in Tokyo! However, we highly recommend students get some basic lessons or at least study the Hiragana alphabet
The only requirement is that students must be able to read the hiragana alphabet before arriving at school.
