Summer program for Gymnast in France

Campers have 30 hours of training per week. From intermediate to high advanced level. An intensive sports program of 6 hours a day comprising:

For girls: uneven bars, beam, floor, and vault.

For boys: rings, high bars, floor, pommel horse, parallel bars and vault.

• Technical workshops: rotating workshops by equipment and specific warm-ups.
  
• Tactical and strategic workshops: visualization and concentration techniques.
• Challenge workshops: introduction to physical preparation (recovery, concentration and team building) + introduction to self-analysis.
• Competition workshops: individual or group competition situations.

For this program, practice in a club is compulsory.

Gymnastics summer camp with French lessons

During your Gymnastics summer camp in France, you will :

• Train for 6 hours per day ( 30 hours per week)
• Participate in evening activities ( games, contests, competitions)
• Have time to recover between training
• For 2 weeks: go with your new friends to a theme park during the weekend

 Our teams set up evening activities adapted to the age and preferences of campers, the weather and the motivation of the group. 

During this Gymnastics summer camp in France, campers live in student residences. All meals included.

• Shared bedroom ( 2 - 4 beds per room)
• You can share a bedroom with your friend/sibling
• Restaurant is self-service. Balanced menu for campers.

DROP OFF AT THE CAMP: Sunday between 3 PM and 4:30 PM
PICK UP AT THE CAMP: Saturday between 10 AM and 11 AM

HOW TO GET TO THE CAMP?​
We offer 3 possibilities:

• You bring your child to the camp in Macon/Montauban/Vichy and pick him/her up at the end of the stay;
• or you bring your child to the train station Gare Bercy (Vichy) or Gare de Lyon in Paris (Macon) where he/she joins other campers traveling by train to Vichy/Macon (Accompanied by SEJ staff. Additional fee applies). The trains leave between 12 and 2pm. (this option is not available for Montauban)
• or your child flies to Paris arriving in the early morning at a Paris airport BEFORE 9 AM on the camp's start date; our staff will pick him/her up at the airport and transfer him/her to Bercy (Vichy) or Gare de Lyon (Macon) in Paris where he/she joins other campers traveling by train to Vichy/Macon (Accompanied by staff. Additional fee applies) (this option is not available for Montauban)

HOW TO LEAVE FROM THE CAMP?

We offer 3 possibilities:

• You bring your child to the camp in Macon/Montauban/Vichy and pick him/her up at the end of the stay;
• or your child travels back to the train station Gare Bercy (Vichy) or Gare de Lyon in Paris (Macon) with the group and staff and you pick him/her up there (Accompanied by SEJ staff. Additional fee applies). The trains arrive in Paris late afternoon on the camp's end date. (this option is not available for Montauban)
• or your child travels back to the train station Gare Bercy (Vichy) or Gare de Lyon in Paris (Macon) with group and staff; our staff will pick him/her up at the train station and transfer him/her to a Paris airport (Accompanied by staff. Additional fee applies). His/her flight should NOT TAKE OFF EARLIER THAN 9 pm on the camp's end date. (this option is not available for Montauban)
  

Please note: no overnight in Paris will be possible during the summer of 2024  after July 20th due to the Olympic Games 2024. Please plan flights accordingly. Contact us for any further guidance.

Each camp session lasts for 7 or 14 days. Arrival on Sunday and departure on Saturday.

Arrival dates for July in Vichy are:

• June 30th 2024 (1 or 2 weeks)
• July 7th 2024 (1 or 2 weeks)
• July 14th 2024 (1 or 2 weeks)
• July 21st 2024 (1 or 2 weeks)
• July 28th 2024  (1 or 2 weeks)
  

Arrival dates for July in Montauban are:

FRENCH LESSONS

Are you interested in taking French lessons AND practicing a sport for 3 hours in the morning? 

Opt for a sports camp in France WITH French lessons: French and Sports summer camp in France. This camp combining French and Gymnastics is offered from July 7th to July 20th 2024 only. 

All our sports camps in France are developed and organized by our sports affiliate: SPORTS ELITE JEUNES.

Price includes

• Administration fees
• Full board accommodation in shared rooms
• Sport activities carefully supervised and led by certified chaperones
• Access to all sports equipment of the campus
• Social activities during the weekend and on evenings
• Support, assistance and 24H emergency response phone number during the whole program

Price does not include

• International airfare
• Travel insurance (luggage lost, flight delay etc.)
• Visa, passport and medical exam fees
• Group transfer from a Paris train station to the Vichy campus by train, with French chaperones, and back 
• Personal expenses and pocket money
• Medical, Liability and Emergency Repatriation insurance: please provide an insurance certificate

If you would like to become a participant in our gymnastics summer camp in France, you must:

• Be 13-17 years old.
• have studied French previously for at least 2 years.
• Be in good health.
• Do your best effort to speak in French at all times.
