VOLLEYBALL (for boys and girls) - on the Vichy campus

During one or two weeks, you can practice your favorite sport and immerse yourself completely in the French language. Our sports camps in France are located in Vichy, Montauban and Mâcon. All campuses have excellent sports facilities and dormitories: everything that students need in order to have a pleasant and safe summer in France. The Volleyball summer camp in France takes place in Vichy or Montauban. 

All our programs are directed by certified professionals ensuring a fruitful learning experience for all participants of the Volleyball and French summer camp in France. 

From intermediate to high advanced level. An intensive sports program of 6 hours a day comprising:

• Technical workshops: targeted exercises on the mastery of basic
• techniques (headlines, passes, attacks, services etc).
• Tactical workshops and strategy: workshops training on the offensive and
• defensive organization, team building exercises.
• Competition workshops: setting up of collective situations, game analysis.
• Tournament workshops: small games and tournaments, individual and collective challenges.
• "Boost yourself" workshops: tips for physical and mental preparation.

How will I study French?

This summer camp in France is a real French immersion because coaches, teachers, and most campers are French (90%). International students are able to join the French campers during the sports practices and the social activities planned inside the camp. International participants are required to have a minimum French level (2 years of French studies) so that they can interact with the other campers and understand what the coach says.

This camp does not include French lessons.

Excursions and other activities are organized in the evening and at the weekend.

All our sports camps in France are developed and organized by our sports affiliate: SPORTS ELITE JEUNES. Read the Director's interview. 

Once the sports session is over, it is time for rest and recreation.

Each afternoon, the children will have the opportunity to participate in recreational activities. These activities usually take place in larger groups and the goal is to create a community spirit within the center. They are designed, implemented and supervised by our certified counselors. Sports coaches also participate to share great moments with the children.

The teams organize evening activities adapted to the age and tastes of the children, the weather and the level of tiredness of the group. 

Our volleyball camps are offered in Vichy or Montauban. Full board.

Campers are hosted on different campuses depending on the chosen sports camp. Students live in student residences (from 2 to 4 beds per room) with shared facilities. French and international campers share the same room based on age and gender. It is possible to specify a person with whom to share the room. Full board accommodation is provided. The 4 meals of the day are balanced menus by the chefs at the center.

Other sports camps organized at Vichy campus include: Swimming, Basketball and Gymnastics.

Other sports camps organized at Montauban campus include: Gymnastics, Soccer. 

DROP OFF AT THE CAMP: Sunday between 3 PM and 4:30 PM
PICK UP AT THE CAMP: Saturday between 10 AM and 11 AM

HOW TO GET TO THE CAMP?​
We offer 3 possibilities:

• You bring your child to the camp in Macon/Montauban/Vichy and pick him/her up at the end of the stay;
• or you bring your child to the train station Gare Bercy (Vichy) or Gare de Lyon in Paris (Macon) where he/she joins other campers traveling by train to Vichy/Macon (Accompanied by SEJ staff. Additional fee applies). The trains leave between 12 and 2pm. (this option is not available for Montauban)
• or your child flies to Paris arriving in the early morning at a Paris airport BEFORE 9 AM on the camp's start date; our staff will pick him/her up at the airport and transfer him/her to Bercy (Vichy) or Gare de Lyon (Macon) in Paris where he/she joins other campers traveling by train to Vichy/Macon (Accompanied by staff. Additional fee applies) (this option is not available for Montauban)

HOW TO LEAVE FROM THE CAMP?

We offer 3 possibilities:

• You bring your child to the camp in Macon/Montauban/Vichy and pick him/her up at the end of the stay;
• or your child travels back to the train station Gare Bercy (Vichy) or Gare de Lyon in Paris (Macon) with the group and staff and you pick him/her up there (Accompanied by SEJ staff. Additional fee applies). The trains arrive in Paris late afternoon on the camp's end date. (this option is not available for Montauban)
• or your child travels back to the train station Gare Bercy (Vichy) or Gare de Lyon in Paris (Macon) with group and staff; our staff will pick him/her up at the train station and transfer him/her to a Paris airport (Accompanied by staff. Additional fee applies). His/her flight should NOT TAKE OFF EARLIER THAN 9 pm on the camp's end date. (this option is not available for Montauban)
  

Please note: no overnight in Paris will be possible during the summer of 2024  after July 20th due to the Olympic Games 2024. Please plan flights accordingly. Contact us for any further guidance.

Each camp session lasts for 7 or 14 days. Arrival on Sunday and departure on Saturday.

Arrival dates for July in Vichy are:

• July 21st 2024 (1 or 2 weeks)

Arrival dates for August in Vichy are:

• August 4th 2024 (1 or 2 weeks)

If you want to be part of our Volleyball Camp in France, you must consider that: 

• We only accept students from 13 to 17 years of age
• You must have studied French for two years
• You must have strong motivation and willingness to create friendship with other participants 
• You have to do your best effort to speak in French at all times
• You have to make sure that you have the medical condition to be part of this program

Thanks to this program, you will be able to improve your French, practice a sport and meet new friends. Our campers are expected to be mature and flexible.
