Become an exchange student in the Greater Paris Area
Your Exchange Program in Paris Greater Area starts here with Nacel.
During their High School program in France, exchange students may choose the Greater Paris area, and live either with a French host family or at a boarding house. They attend an American High School program provided at a French High School, Notre-Dame Les Oiseaux.
This exchange program in Paris allows students to experience the everyday life of French students and discover the French culture and “art de vivre” while exploring Paris and its world-famous museums and monuments.
How will my exchange program in the Paris Greater area look like?
You will attend a 10th, 11th, or 12th grade and study American subjects taught in English. You will also learn French as a Foreign language.
The school also offers AP courses in Grade 11 and 12.
The school headmaster makes the ultimate decision regarding grade and placement level for international students, taking into account the school’s organization, the student’s transcripts, and their English level. All students attend general classes such as English, Social Sciences, Math, French, P.E., Sciences, Electives etc..
In France, students spend quite a lot of time at school! In this program, students start school at 8.30 am and finish at 4.30 pm. There is a 1-hour break at lunchtime. You may practice sports or do cultural activities such as music or arts outside of school, or in local clubs and so-called "associations". Those activities usually take place after school, on Wednesday afternoons as well as on Saturdays. Sundays are usually dedicated to family life, going out, relaxing, and doing homework.
Graduation from our American school in France is possible after completion of all necessary US credits.

International students benefit from excellent study facilities on our campus. A few leisure sports activities are offered to both French and international students, as well as school clubs run by students themselves.
Students may also look for an extracurricular activity practiced outside of school, in local sports clubs, or at cultural facilities in town. We do encourage our students to engage in activities so that they can socialize with their peers.
