ELIGIBILITY : 12 to 17 years old.
LENGTH : 2 weeks French sports summer camp.
DESCRIPTION: The participant can choose between a French sports summer camp with sports practice only, and a French sports summer camp with French language classes. If he/she chooses the French sports summer camp with sports only, he/she will have to choose the sport he wants to focus on among Tennis, Basket Ball and Football (soccer). If he/she chooses the French sports summer camp with French language classes, he/she will have French language courses on mornings, and he/she will be able to practice various sports or only one of the sports mentioned above (Basketball, Tennis or Football (Soccer)).
FRENCH LANGUAGE COURSES: On mornings, French language classes will be held during 3:20 hours from Monday to Friday during the French summer camp. Participants are placed in small groups of 10 to 15 students. There will be a French language test on arrival, and an individual check at the end of the French summer camp. All our French teachers of the French summer camps are native French and have a further diploma that allows them to teach French to foreigners.
ACTIVITIES : On afternoons at the French summer camp, a large range of outdoor activities is offered: various sports, or focus on an elected sport (between Basketball, Tennis and Football (Soccer)). During our French summer camps, there will also be leisure activities organized during weekends, in accordance with all campers (Volleyball, swimming, town visits...)
LOCATION : Our summer camps in France are organized in Vichy, a well-known French thermal town, who is also renowned to be the town for sport's practice.
OBJECTIVES : The goal of the French summer camp is to develop participant's knowledge of the French language in an international context. During the French summer camp, participants may share various sports with young people of many different countries.
FRENCH SUMMER CAMP: More than a French summer camp, an ethic: We aim at developing a team spirit, empathy and a fair play attitude among the campers.
FRENCH LANGUAGE LESSONS : The French summer camp offers French language courses in small classes of 10 to 15 students, 2 or 3 levels, for students who have chosen this option. An average of 15 hours language tuition per week is provided. French lessons are delivered by qualified French teachers, native speakers of the language taught.
During the French summer camp, emphasis is set on French oral language practice though students will also have a full exposure to grammar and written French language.
All our French summer camps are based on a non smoking policy.
EVENINGS : Social evenings are organized every night during the French summer camp: social games, karaoke, discos, etc.
EXCURSIONS : Excursions will be organized during the weekend to visit the town, swimming, party... in accordance with the campers' wishes.
ACCOMMODATION : During the French summer camp, students will be accommodated in various student's centres, depending of the sport they will have chosen (2 to 6 participants per room) . Meals are provided on a full board basis.
ARRIVALS : Students must arrive on the fixed arrival date at the closest airport indicated for each program.
PROGRAM DATES : These French summer camps are only organized during the summer school vacations of France (July and August).
