Supervision
From the arrival at the airport in Nice, the camp leaders from the Essential holiday summer camp in France are there for the students 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There are 2 levels of supervision and parents can decide which level of supervision is appropriate for their child. A free shuttle bus service connects the campuses to the town center or beaches.
Supervision level 1
Free to go into town or to the beach after the scheduled activities. 7:30 PM curfew.
Supervision level 2
Permission can be granted for a 10 PM curfew from Monday to Thursday and a 1 AM curfew on Friday and Saturday evenings (only for 16- to 17-year-olds).
Language level
The program at this language camp in France is suitable for beginners to advanced students. Teachers make the lessons fun and attractive for teenagers to help them improve their spoken French, while also encouraging them to apply the French grammar rules. They use stimulating activities to make sure everybody stays engaged and maximize their learning curve.
PLACEMENT TEST ON THE FIRST DAY
Standard course
- 20 lessons of 45 minutes per week
- From Monday to Friday From 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (15-20 min. break)
- 15 persons maximum in a class
The 3 hours of daily standard classes are distributed as follows: 2 hours of classical work: oral and written comprehension, written and oral expression as well as grammar, pronunciation, and French civilization. 1 hour of oral activities for a different way of learning with oral linguistic games designed to facilitate learning.
Intensive course
It is possible to add a supplemental intensive course of 2 afternoons a week (1:45 - 4 PM). This intensive course complements the morning classes and focuses on their spoken language skills in small groups of a maximum of 8 students.
The 3h45 of daily intensive courses are designed for motivated students who are willing to progress faster. They offer general French instruction focused on the acquisition of oral, written and grammatical skills essential for each level. Pronunciation and French civilization also complement these skills.
All classes take place on Campus Horticole or Leonardo Da Vinci.
