Learn Spanish in Spain through personalized language immersion!

Learning Spanish in Spain allows you to practice the language throughout your day, not only during lessons. By staying with a Spanish host teacher, you experience the language in real situations: during conversations at home, while sharing meals, and when discovering the local culture around you.

A Spanish immersion experience in Spain is designed for teenagers and adults who want to improve their Spanish skills while experiencing everyday life in a Spanish-speaking environment.

Your program can be adapted to your goals, whether you want to improve your general Spanish, prepare for an exam, develop professional communication skills, or gain confidence speaking in daily situations.

Why choose Spain for a Spanish immersion experience?

Spain offers many opportunities to practice Spanish while discovering different traditions, landscapes and lifestyles. Each region has its own atmosphere, food culture and local identity, giving you the chance to experience Spanish life beyond the classroom.

When you choose a Spanish homestay, you become part of a local environment where language learning happens naturally. Everyday conversations with your host teacher can help you develop listening and speaking skills, expand your vocabulary and become more comfortable communicating in Spanish.

Whether you are a teenager looking for a supervised immersion experience or an adult wanting a personalized way to improve your Spanish, Spain offers a welcoming environment for language learning.

Different lesson options are available, allowing you to choose an immersion experience that matches your goals and available time.

The main focus is not only the number of lessons, but how you use Spanish throughout your stay.

Activities

Experience everyday Spanish life

A Spanish immersion program is about more than private lessons. Living with a host teacher gives you the opportunity to discover how Spanish is spoken in everyday situations.

You may practice Spanish while:

  • sharing meals and conversations with your host teacher
  • discussing your daily routines and your teacher's local traditions
  • exploring your surroundings
  • learning about Spanish culture from a local perspective
  • using Spanish outside the classroom in real-life situations

This combination of private Spanish lessons and daily interaction helps you connect your learning with authentic communication.

Discover different Spanish regions and cultures

Spain has a rich variety of regions, each with its own traditions, landscapes and cultural identity. Depending on your host teacher’s location, you may experience different sides of Spanish life, from historic cities to coastal areas and vibrant urban environments.

Students may choose Spain because they want to:

  • explore historic neighborhoods and cultural landmarks like Las Ramblas and Gottic quarter (Barcelona), Historic Precinct of Alcalá de Henares (Madrid), Albaicín (Granada), Triana (Seville), Dalt Vila (Ibiza), San Cristóbal de la Laguna (Canary Islands)
  • discover local food traditions and taste different Spanish Tapas, Paellas or Jamón
  • experience Spanish customs and daily life
  • practice Spanish in a different regional environment

A homestay with a private Spanish teacher allows you to discover a destination from a local perspective rather than only visiting as a tourist.

Possible cultural visits include:

Accommodation

Where will I stay and what is included?

During your Spanish immersion program in Spain, you stay in a private bedroom in your host teacher’s home and experience daily life with Spanish speakers.

Your accommodation includes meals and gives you the opportunity to practice Spanish naturally throughout the day, during conversations at home, shared meals and everyday activities. You do not only study Spanish during lessons; you use it as part of your daily life.

Your host teacher can introduce you to local customs, traditions and the rhythm of everyday Spanish life, helping you discover the culture from a local perspective.

Host teachers in Spain come from different backgrounds. You may stay with a family with children, a single parent, a retired professional, or an individual teacher who enjoys welcoming international participants into their home. Each host brings their own personality, interests and local knowledge to the experience.

We carefully select host teachers who are welcoming, experienced and motivated to share their language and culture. Before your stay, we learn about your interests, preferences and goals to help create the best possible match.
