Outside your Portuguese classes, you can join a variety of optional social and cultural activities (free or paid) to experience local life and practice Portuguese in real situations. Activities may include island outings and beach time, picnics, cultural workshops such as Brazilian cooking classes, and other local events where you can meet students from around the world and make new friends while discovering Florianópolis beyond the classroom.
Homestay accommodation is available for students who want full immersion in Brazilian daily life.
You will stay in a private room in a local home, with a warm, welcoming environment that helps you practice Portuguese every day.
Most host families are located around 15 minutes from the school (by walking or public transport).
Laundry is included, cleaning is done weekly, and students are generally allowed to use the kitchen.
