French Teen summer camp in Canada

The French summer camp in Canada is held in Québec, a 100% French-speaking city and the capital of French in the Americas! 

The Teen summer camp in Canada welcomes about 150 students per week coming from all over the world for a French immersion experience in Québec. The camp is entirely French speaking: you attend French language classes in the morning but also use French during activities on afternoons, evenings and weekends. 

Any French learner with a French level from A0 (beginner) to B2 (upper intermediate) is welcome to join this French summer camp in Québec. As an international high school student you attend 15 hours of French lessons per week during the​ weekdays, so 3 hours per day, in a class of about 10 international students of the same level. They take place from 8:30 am to 11:45 am. 

Your French is tested on arrival, so you attend the correct level course. The coaches ensure you use French at all times in class and during meals or activities. You experience an authentic French immersion and practice your French skills!

Lessons are interactive and fun as well as engaging! You will earn a regular student's record. You also receive a French certificate at the end of your teen summer immersion camp in Québec. 

A daily activity program is included in the price

Our French Teen summer camp in Québec includes Multi-Activities on afternoons (15 hours/week), evenings and weekends. After French classes, students are offered a variety of fun, cultural and sports activities led by counselors. Students are accompanied at any time. They take place from 12.30 to 4.30 pm on weekdays. You are back at the residence or your homestay at 4.30 pm.

The French immersion in Québec organizes one or two evening activities plus weekend activities. Weekend activities are mandatory.

Cultural activities include excursions to:

• La Ronde Theme Park,
• the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal,
• Le Cirque du Soleil,
• Le Festival de Québec
• and whale-watching at Tadoussac

Optional Extracurricular activities

For those who would be interested in Arts or Sports, we may offer: 

1. Art Workshops

• Dramatic or Plastic Arts (acting and improvisation, pronunciation, vocabulary and fluency, short performance)
  
• Music (qualified and dedicated instructors, at the Conservatoire de musique et d’art dramatique du Québec. Classes available on most instruments include private teaching, group classes and supervised practice. Bring your musical instrument, if possible.)
• Cooking (cooking classes are held in the college’s professional cooking training center and taught by a well-known local professional chef)
• Circus (trampoline, juggling, unicycling, tightrope walking, aerial disciplines at l’École de cirque du Québec)

2. Sports Activities

• Soccer (soccer training and games. Bring your own soccer equipment!)
  
• Hockey (designed for hockey players, with team coaching and games. Bring your hockey equipment!)
• Tennis (qualified and dedicated trainers, in Academie de tennis Hérisset Bordeleau, 3 hours/day)
• Horse riding (western and classic riding instruction at the Centre Équestre Jessy Dufresne)

Those extracurricular activities (Art or Sports) provide students with an opportunity to mix with local teenagers. Please ask for a specific quote. 

Your accommodation during the French immersion in Québec is organized in a Host family or Residence with full board. 

Stay with a host family from Québec!

Host family: you will live with a French speaking host family who will share its language and culture. You will join your classes and activities using public transportation (unsupervised). families live 30-45 minutes by bus from the school. You will receive 3 meals a day (full board). 

All host families :

• are vetted (police checked)
• are known and visited personally 
• successfully passed an inspection of their home

Stay at an international student residence in Québec! 

Residence: you will live with your friends and the staff at the residence. You will join your classes and activities using public transportation (supervised by staff). the residence offers double rooms, shared bathroom.
