Summer English Camp in Hamilton, Canada
Our Nacel Summer Camp in Canada is designed for teens who want to have fun while learning English! You will make friends from around the world, visit exciting tourist sites, and get to know Canada all at the same time.
You will attend weekday morning English classes, and take part in exciting daily afternoon trips and activities. The weekends include day trips to various destinations. Led by our teachers, the trips are a fun way to see the Toronto area with your classmates, meet students from other countries around the world, and practice speaking English all at the same time!
A summer in Hamilton gives you a clear structure for learning English, and exploring a Canadian city at a comfortable pace. Hamilton sits between Toronto and Niagara Falls, close to nature and close to two major tourist sites.The city feels active without feeling overwhelming. The camp takes place on the campus of Hillfield Strathallan College.The grounds include classrooms, sports fields, and green spaces.You stay either in the on-campus residence, a short walk from camp, or with a Canadian homestay family who provides daily pick up and drop off when needed.
How will I study English in Canada?
You attend English classes every weekday morning. Our qualified TESL teachers focus on grammar, speaking, listening, reading, and writing. The kessons use a communicative approach and are interactive. You work in pairs and small groups with other students. Meet Canadian Teens
The Canadian Teen Buddy Program sets the Hamilton camp apart, it is a truly unique! Local high school students volunteer to support international students. Each buddy works with a small group of two to four students.You join activities together, complete group tasks, play sports, and talk throughout the day. This gives you frequent English practice with someone your age. Many students stay in touch with their buddies after the program.
Summer Life in Hamilton
Hamilton has a population of about 500,000.The city offers trails, parks, a harbor front area, and neighborhoods with a student-friendly atmosphere.Its location between Toronto and Niagara Falls keeps weekend trips simple.Charter buses take the group to beaches, museums, and well known landmarks.
Afternoons include trips and activities in Hamilton, Toronto, or Niagara. You might visit museums, walk through downtown areas, spend time along the waterfront, or join a sport or team activity. Teachers, activity staff, and teen buddies guide each outing. Weekends feature full day trips, which provide more chances to speak English in real situations. One leader supervises each group of fifteen students, and supervision stays consistent.
Residence & Homestay
On-campus residence suites include two bedrooms, one bathroom, and a small kitchenette. Each student has a private room.. Staff live onsite to supervise the building. The residence includes common areas, a laundry room, security, and a small movie room. Meals are served daily. The location of the residence is very convenient, only a three minutes walk to the school.
Homestay placements match students with Canadian families. You join meals, routines, and weekend habits. Depending on the distance, you walk, use public transportation, or receive daily transportation provided by the host family to camp.
