Our Italian homestay immersion in Italy offers students the opportunity to experience the Italian way of life, and allows them to discover the typical life of a young Italian teenager, by living with an Italian host family and eventually attending a local Italian high school like Italian students do, during the school year (September or January intakes) from 8 o 12 weeks.

During the Italian homestay immersion in Italy, students will be welcomed by their Italian host families as if they were a new member. During the weekdays, he/she will go to a local high school with a host sister or brother, to learn more about the Italian educational system.
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS:
Students will improve their knowledge of the Italian culture and language through active participation in family, school and community life. The program gives students an opportunity to spend a certain period of time, studying at an Italian high school and living with an Italian volunteer family. Some schools organize extra-curricular activities in the afternoon (sports, theater etc.). The school year starts in the middle of September and ends in the middle of June. You may also come during the summer holidays.

During the homestay immersion in Italy, accommodation is provided by an Italian host family, with full board.
During their short stay in Italy, students will have the opportunity to spend their weeks with a volunteer host family. During this time, you will be able to share your culture with them, and they will also be expecting you to learn and get involved with day-to-day family activities.
The volunteer family hosts the student on a full board basis. Host families provide all the food taken at home. All meals away from home (including school lunches) must be paid by the student.
We will place the student with a carefully selected Italian family or families for the duration of the program. Host families are interviewed at home to ensure that they have the capacity and economic resources to properly host a teenage exchange student. Host families come from varied social and economic backgrounds, and live in a variety of locations (in a big town, in a small city, in a village or on a farm...). Wherever the student’s host family lives, there are wonderful things to discover and absorb.
