How does the program work?

Before your stay

You share information about your language level, interests, learning objectives and personal preferences. This helps your advisor and the local team identify a suitable host teacher and create an experience that matches your goals.

During your stay

You live in your host teacher's home and receive private lessons based on your chosen program. Outside lessons, you continue practising the language through daily conversations and cultural experiences.

Your routine will depend on your lesson package, destination and personal interests.

After your stay

For participants choosing a lighter lesson schedule, such as 10 private lessons per week, activities and cultural visits are an important part of creating a complete immersion experience.

*10 hrs need to be combined with a min. of 5 hrs of activities or cultural visits. 

Stay with a qualified host teacher

Your accommodation is an important part of your language experience.

You stay in an individual bedroom in your host teacher's home and receive full-board accommodation with three meals per day.

Your host teacher provides a welcoming environment where you can practise the language naturally throughout your stay.

Host teachers are interviewed by local coordinators and their accommodation is inspected before welcoming participants. They have recognised teaching qualifications and/or relevant academic backgrounds, together with teaching experience.

Host households can include families with children, single-parent families or individuals who enjoy welcoming international participants.

Support during your language stay

For teens

Parents want to know that their child is supported when travelling abroad.

The program includes local coordination and support before and during the stay. Host teachers are selected through a defined process, background checked and participants have access to a 24-hour helpline.

Additional supervision options and activities can be arranged depending on age and destination.

You receive support before your arrival and during your stay. The local team remains available for practical questions and assistance throughout your experience.
