GENERAL DESCRIPTION The Spanish school of Salamanca is situated in the city center, on the corner of Gran Vía 5 minute walk from the Plaza Mayor, Salamanca's main square. It is located within a local high school. Date of creation: 1989 Facilities: Renovated and modernized former convent, 5,420 m2 ; 30 classrooms (up to 60 during summer); staff room; lecture room; computer lab with free internet ; wireless internet in the building (Wi-Fi); common lounge area; beautiful central patio; spacious sporting areas. Nearest airport: There is no international airport in Salamanca, just one national (aeropuerto de Salamanca). The closest international airport is Madrid Barajas. Public transport from Madrid's bus or train station will take you to Salamanca in about 2.5 hours. Note that it is more convenient to get to Salamanca through Madrid or Valladolid. At your arrival take a taxi until your place of living or choose the transfer possibility.
Nearest train station: Regional rail arrives at Paseo del Estación, about a 15-minute walk from the historic center. Buses: Various bus companies operate out of the station on Avda. de Filiberto Villalobos, also just 15 minutes walking from the Plaza Mayor.
Transfer possibilities: pick-up at your arrival from Madrid airport, railway or bus station and assistance until the place of living and/or walk-home programme at the end of the stay are not included. Cost for each way: 175 EUR (330 EUR return).
