Learn English in San Diego! Our English school in USA is located in a centre and animated street of San Diego.

Facilities: comfortable classrooms are equipped with whiteboards, reference books, and tape recorders; a computer laboratory with free access to language learning material as well as Internet and emails (Japanese, Korean, and Chinese systems are available); a wireless internet access. There is also a relaxing student lounge with a Student Information Centre, magazines, journals, daily newspapers, a refrigerator and microwaves; facilities for disabled persons.
Size of the school: big (capacity of 270 students).
Facilities for disabled students: yes (all rooms and facilities are accessible by wheelchair users).
Student’s nationalities: The english language school in San Diego teaches students from more than 70 different countries from around the world: Western Europe: 35 - 40%; Latin America: 10 - 15%; from Asia: 35 - 45%. The rest come from other parts of the world.

HIGHLIGHTS

It is just a short walk from Horton Plaza (one of the city's main shopping districts) and the historic Gaslamp Quarter. ACCOMMODATION :

- Host family: double room; half board; towels provided. Due to the big size of San Diego, the American host families live from about an hour by bus from the school.
- Residence: double room; no board. Each room has a private bathroom; a telephone; a TV set; a mini fridge and air-condition. The residence has a 24-Hours security service. It is located at 3 blocs from Horton Plaza, the big commercial centre and from Gaslamp Quarter known for its restaurants, pubs and art galleries. It has a laundry, a gymnasium as well as a search room. Rooms are not equipped with a kitchen; nevertheless, you will find numerous places to eat nearby.

ACTIVITIES :

Our English school in San Diego arranges after school and weekend excursions. It offers a variety of cultural and social activities each month. Students are responsible for any fees related to these optional activities.

ELIGIBILITY: 16+
Minimum language level: Beginner (General English classes); Intermediate (Exam preparation classes).
VISA: Waver Visa (less than 90 days) or Student Visa (F1 Visa with I-20 form). Please note that the visa is compulsory for more that 18 classes/week or for stays longer than 3 months.

DEADLINE :

Nearest train station: The Amtrack Pacific Surfliner which is a 350-mile (563 km) passenger train route serving communities on the coast of Southern California between San Diego and San Luis Obispo with stops in Los Angeles.
Ferry: The Port of San Diego manages the maritime operations of San Diego harbor. The Coronado Commuter Ferry takes morning and afternoon commuters across San Diego Bay from the San Diego Broadway Pier, to the Naval Air Station North Island, and the San Diego Broadway Pier.
Public transportation: The San Diego Trolley is a light rail that serves the metropolitan area including Downtown San Diego, East County, South Bay, and San Ysidro. The San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) is the public transit service provider for Central, South, Northeast and Southeast San Diego County. MTS operating subsidiaries include the San Diego Trolley, Incorporated (SDTI) and San Diego Transit, Corporation (SDTC).
San Diego County has an extensive network of public roadways that allows vehicle drivers and bicyclists convenient direct access to all practical destinations in the county.
