ABOUT OUR SPORTS SUMMER CAMPS IN FRANCE
All our sports summer camps in France are developed and organized by a professional team from our sports branch: SPORTS ELITE JEUNES. For each of these sports camps, the sport practices are lead by qualified monitors, who guide the “campers” all day and night long. Students must show that they are mature enough to participate in a multinational summer camp, to share everyday life, and that they really like to discover and practice any sports. All our sports camps are non-smoking.

ABOUT LANGUAGE DURING BASKETBALL SUMMER CAMP + FRENCH COURSES
Participants in the basketball camp in France are mainly French, monitors are French, and foreign students will no doubt profit from this French basketball summer camp to improve their French skills, as they will be surrounded by French people, 24 hours a day. French is the used language during all activities: sports, leisure time, etc.....

LOCATION OF THE BASKETBALL SUMMER CAMP
The basketball summer camps + French courses in France are organized in Vichy. Vichy is a very famous town, renowned for its mineral water and to be the town for sports. We run basketball summer camps in Vichy since 1979. Students are accommodated in students' centres (from 1 to 6 beds/room) with shared facilities near the rooms. DESCRIPTION OF THE BASKETBALL SUMMER CAMP IN FRANCE
The participant can choose between 2 French basketball summer camps:
- Basketball summer camp only
- Basketball summer camp + French courses in France

BASKETBALL SUMMER CAMP ONLY
Participants may choose to focus on basketball only during his/her Basketball Summer Camp in France (we offer this program with other sports too :football (soccer), tennis or basketball). Basketball will be practiced from 4 to 5 hours a day during the basketball summer camp in France: theory, training, games etc.

BASKETBALL SUMMER CAMP + FRENCH COURSES
Students may take advantage of their stay in France during their basketball summer camp + French courses to improve their French knowledge by taking French lessons on mornings. Participants will practice Basketball on afternoon during their basketball summer camp + French courses in France. On weekends, excursions or others activities can be organized according to the participants' interests.

ABOUT FRENCH COURSES
French language and sports practice creates a great balance for an interesting and fun stay in France during the basketball summer camp + French courses in France.
French courses are given by French teachers specialized in teaching French as a foreign language, and have effective teaching methods.

The « campers » participating to the Basketball summer camp + French courses in France are given 15 hours French courses per week (3 hours 20 minutes in the morning, from Monday to Friday) in groups of about 15 students.

Groups are defined according to the French level (test on arrival) and the age of the participants. French courses during the basketball summer camp in France emphasize  vocabulary, grammar, language laboratory, video, communication, always involving the participation of the students.

ACCOMMODATION :

During the basketball summer camp + French courses, students are accommodated in students’ centres (from 1 to 6 beds / room) with shared facilities near the rooms. Students will be spread on different residences depending on the elected camp.
The accommodation is on a full-board basis.
«Campers» are hosted in a residence, in dormitories, all nationalities sharing the same residence.

LESSONS :

15 hours/week

ELIGIBILITY :

1 to 2 years of French study are required in order to be able to participate in this basketball summer camp + French courses in France.

DEADLINE :

2 months before departure. Late applications may be accepted for this Basketball summer camp + French courses in France.

Prices 2012

PRICE INCLUDES :

-Administration fees
-Full board accommodation in shared (dormitory) or individual rooms
-30 hours French lessons (3:20 hours on weekday mornings)
-Sport activities carefully supervised and lead by certified monitors on afternoons
-Access to all sports equipment of the campus
-Social activities during the weekend and on evenings
-Individual transfer from a Paris airport to the Paris train station and back
-Group transfer from a Paris train station to the Vichy campus by train, with French chaperones, and back
-Support, assistance and 24 hours emergency phone number during the whole program

PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE :

-International airfare
-International Travel insurance
-Visa, passport and medical exam fees
-Personal expenses and pocket money
-Hotel accommodation and board in Paris (if needed due to arrival in Paris on the day before departure to the campus and/or due to departure from Paris on the day after return from the campus)
-Medical and Emergency repatriation insurance (may be provided by Nacel for an extra cost)
- Application fees (40 euros)
