GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Our English school is small, friendly and situated in the heart of the University campus. It occupies 3 18th century town houses with garden patios at the back.
Date of creation: 1976
Facilities: a reception area, 13 spacious and well equipped classrooms, a listening centre, a computer room with Internet access, a video room and 2 coffee rooms, wireless Internet, a court in which you can relax and eat.

Learn English in Southampton! Our English school is conveniently located in the heart of the city of Southampton, facing a beautiful park. The main bus terminus and shopping areas are just a few minutes walk from the language school. The atmosphere is very friendly between teachers and students.
COURSE
Type of course: General English
Course level: From false beginner to advanced
Course content: conversation, listening, writing, reading and grammar. The classes will focus on the acquisition of the vocabulary, the pronunciation as well as the reach of students’ confidence.

Host Family: single room, half board (on weekdays); full board (on weekends); laundry included. The host families live within 20-25 minutes walk or with public transportation from the school; during the summer, families may live more far away.
Shared flat (18 YO+, from 26/06 to 04/09) Single room, private bathroom, self-catering, sheets and towels included. Internet access in each room. Shared kitchen. Flats are located within 5 minutes walking from the school and the city’s downtown.

ACCESS/TRANSPORTATION
Regular airlines to the 4 London airports (Gatwick, Heathrow, Luton, Stansted) and travel on to Southampton by rail, car or bus. The most convenient are: Heathrow Airport (about 60 miles drive from Southampton) and Gatwick Airport (about 80 miles drive from Southampton).
Low-cost airlines: Easy Jet, Ryanair, Brussel Airlines, Clickair, Flybe, Germanwings, Wizz Air, Air Berlin, Transavia, Monarch, Sky Europe… Flybe will expand their operation next summer among several cities, including Southampton. Scheduled flights Paris/Southampton. At your arrival, we recommend you to take a taxi to get to your house (around €11-16).
Nearest airport: Southampton airport, located a short distance outside the city in Eastleigh; it is a relatively small airport, and only flies to the UK, Ireland, the Channel Islands, France, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Transfer possibilities: From 8am to 10pm pick-up at the airport and assistance until the place of living and/or walk-home programme at the end of the stay.
