HIGHLIGHTS Learn Spanish in Cadiz! Our Spanish school is situated in the geographical centre of the city, a few minutes walk away from the historical downtown of Cadiz and from the train or bus stations. Ever since its foundation, the Spanish school has strived to establish innovative teaching methodologies to foment not only the learning of the Spanish language, but also its assimilation. This language school is rather a small infrastructure.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION The� Spanish school is located in the city of Cadiz, 25 metres away from Santa Maria del Mar beach and 20 metres away from Andalusia Avenue, the main communication artery in the city. Facilities: Internet and e-mail room, the whole school has a (Wi-Fi) access hot-spot, large, bright and air-conditioned classrooms, student lounge with television and reading area.
COURSES Type of course: - General Spanish (20 hours) - Spanish Intensive (25 hours) Course content: linguistic and grammatical aspects of Spanish, culture and communication. Theory: grammatical aspects of the Spanish language and practice exercises (two hours and a half/daily) Practice: the student learns and puts into practice, in real or simulated situations, how to effectively communicate in Spanish. (Duration: one and a half hours/daily) Class duration: 45 minutes Course level: from beginner to advanced. Class schedule: Monday through Friday from 9:00-1:30. Test at arrival: yes Number of students/class:� Classes of 6 students maximum. Course books: included Certificate awarded at the end of the stay.
ACADEMIC STAFF The staff is composed of university graduates in Spanish Philology and Spanish Literature who work together as a team to capacitate students in effective Spanish communication. They are dynamic, friendly and helpful teachers. Membership: ADES, CEELE
LOCATION Cadiz, capital city of the province of the same name, stands on a 10.58 Km peninsula and has a population of approximately 157.000 inhabitants. It is almost entirely surrounded by water, except for a narrow strip of land which connects the city to another island, San Fernando. Cadiz is strategically situated between the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean; this idyllic location played a determinant role in its history. The province enjoys 138 Km of white sandy beaches, dunes and transparent waters, while the capital has three beaches which joined make up almost 10 Km.
Its rich history is present in historic buildings, magnificent parks and charming squares. The city is also the administrative centre of the province and has the feel of a capital city without losing its small town touch. Cadiz has an excellent climate: warm and temperate. The temperatures range between 14º and 20º in winter and slightly above 22º in summertime. The� Spanish school combines the teaching of Spanish with a wide variety of cultural and leisure activities such as:� visits to museums, cinema, flamenco, sport competitions between teachers and students, welcome parties, games…The program will be provided at arrival. Students remain responsible for all fees related to these activities.
