GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Our Spanish school is located just six blocks from the white sand beaches and is very close to the 5th avenue. Playa del Carmen stretches from the beach west to highway 307 and beyond, however the tourist zone is the area along the coast. Most tourist buses pull into Playa turning off the highway at Benito Juarez Avenue and drive to the downtown bus station which is located right on 5th Avenue. The ferry docks to Cozumel are located close to the bus station as well.

Facilities: beautiful setting ; a library stocked with books on grammar, the Mayan culture, religion and travel in Mexico, and many other publications; Free internet access and wireless connection; open aired and air conditioned conference rooms ; a cafeteria, volleyball court and garden areas.

HIGHLIGHTS
Learn Spanish en Playa de Carmen! Our Spanish school has a typical Caribbean style and is ideally located just a few minutes walk to the beaches. The originally of this language school is that the courses are given in classrooms with thatched roof (hut) within tropical gardens. Moreover, the number of students is limited to 5 which enable a better interaction and participation of each student.

COURSE
Type of course: General Spanish
Course content: The program is meant to the students who wish to learn the basic rules of Spanish while discovering the Mexican culture:  a stress on grammar and basic vocabulary (in the morning), oral and written expression, Mexican culture and civilisation, conversation (the afternoon).
Exam preparation: DELE.
Number of courses/week: 15 or 25 courses or 15 (private course) +10 (group course).
Course duration: 50 minutes/class
Course level: from beginner to advanced.
Test on arrival: yes
Number of students per class: 5 students maximum
Course material: included (partially)
A certificate will be offered at the end of the stay.

ACADEMIC STAFF
The staff is composed of professional Mexican teachers who are experienced in teaching.
Accreditation: WYSE, FIYTO, ALTO, MÉXICO SÍ (Mexican Association of Spanish Institutes), ASESEO (Spanish Schools Association of Oaxaca State), CANACO (Mexican Chamber of Commerce) and SEP (National Board of Education).

LOCATION
Playa del Carmen is a city on the coast of the Caribbean Sea in the north east of the Mexican state of Quintana Roo. 5th Avenue (Quinto Avenida) is the main street that runs parallel to the ocean. It's around 500 meters from the water and is commonly referred to as, "Playa del Carmen's Pedestrian Walkway". It is a vibrant atmosphere reminiscent of a carnival. We have seen live lions, fire breathers, giant boa constrictors and a cavalcade of characters parading down 5th!  There are also lots of bars along 5th making it a good place to party. “Playa", with its 60,000 permanent residents, is a great place to enjoy the cultural and historic richness of Mexico and the Mayan people! ELIGIBILITY: 18 +
Minimum language level: beginner
VISA: citizens from the USA, Canada, the European Union, Switzerland and Japan do not need a visa to come to Mexico; a mere passport will be enough. For citizens coming from other countries, a visa should be provided.

At your arrival we recommend you to take a taxi until your place of living or to choose the transfer possibility offered by Nacel.
Nearest airport: Cancun International Airport (40 minutes by car from the school).
Buses: The bus station is located at the corner of the street Juarez (Calle Juarez); cheap and convenient (from 5 am to midnight); 1hour to Cancun.

Transfer possibilities: pick-up at your arrival and assistance until the place of living and/or walk-home programme at the end of the stay are not included (from 8am to 10pm).
Cost for each way: 45 EUR
