HIGHLIGHTS Learn Spanish in Costa Rica! Our Spanish school is surrounded by 5000 m2 of tropical gardens. It is one of the oldest Spanish schools in Costa Rica and it is known by the individualized instructional organization of its seminars.
COURSE Type of course: General Spanish and Volunteering program (from 2 to 24 weeks) Exam preparation: DELE Exam preparation course Number of courses/week: 20 or 30 classes. Course duration: 45 minutes/class Course content: -General Spanish: the program is meant to students who wish to learn the basic rules of Spanish while discovering the Costa Rican culture, grammar and basic vocabulary, oral and written expression, Mexican culture and civilisation, conversation. - Volunteering program: The program has been settled for a humanitarian and educational goal. It defends various values such as the protection of the environment, the fight against deforestation; the fight against illegal hunting etc. Volunteer may choose: National Parks, Social institution or volunteering at a farm. Test on arrival: yes Number of students per class: 6 students maximum from different nationalities. Course material: included A certificate will be offered at the end of the stay.
ACADEMIC STAFF Lessons are given by experienced native speakers, all of whom have academic degrees and experience in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. Accreditation: Instituto Cervantes, Corontur, Costa Rican German Chamber of Commerce, and is certified by ADES (Asociación par la difusión del español y de la Cultura Hispánica).
LOCATION Downtown Coronado boasts unique shops and many restaurants serving residents and visitors. Coronado is also known for its catholic roots, the population holds very clear traditions and mass on Sundays is definitely a festivity. This city is also one of the few town in San Jose that still embraces old traditions, food and lifestyle event though it has the same development found downtown, the people have manage to preserve the innocence and pureness of the street intact turning Coronado in the classy old town that it is! VISA: Some citizens may just hold a valid passport (Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the USA…) for a stay ≤ 90 days. Other citizens are allowed to stay up to 30 days with a mere passport (Australia, Bulgaria, Chile, Colombia, Czech Republic…). Citizens of all countries not listed above must obtain a visa from a Costa Rican embassy or consulate before arrival. At your arrival we arrange a transfer to your accommodation which is included in the price. However if you wish a transfer the day of your departure, please contact your school so as to order and pay it directly. Nearest airport: Costa Rica International Airport Juan Santamaria Airport, which is located in the North-Western province of Costa Rica, Alajuela.
Transfer possibilities: pick-up at your arrival and assistance until the place of living (included); return transfer at the end of the stay (optional).
Buses: The country offers an adequate bus service. The majority are private companies which link San José with the principal provincial towns and cities, seaports and tourist areas.
