GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Our Spanish school in Coronado is located just outside of the capital city of San Jose (10 km), located in a semi-rural town, ideal to learn, relax and visit. You will be welcomed in the winter garden!

Facilities: beautiful setting ; seminar rooms ; lounge in the reception area, a terrace, a small reference library, a multimedia room with a fast Internet connection (from 9.30am to 3pm) a public telephone and a small cafeteria, a computer room with 6 computers, 9 classrooms (with TV and DVD players).

Learn Spanish in Costa Rica! Our Spanish school is surrounded by 5000 m2 of tropical gardens! It is one of the oldest Spanish schools in Costa Rica and it is known by the individualized instructional organization of its Spanish classes. 

COURSE
Type of course: General Spanish and Volunteering program (from 2 to 24 weeks), 20 or 30 classes per week
Course level: From beginner to advanced
Course content:
General Spanish: the program is meant to students who wish to learn the basic rules of Spanish while discovering the Costa Rican culture, grammar and basic vocabulary, oral and written expression, conversation.
Volunteering program: The program has been settled for a humanitarian and educational goal. It defends various values such as the protection of the environment, the fight against deforestation; the fight against illegal hunting etc. Volunteer may choose: National Parks or Social institution..
Class duration: 50 minutes
Test on arrival: yes
Number of student per class: 5 students maximum of different nationalities.

ACADEMIC STAFF
Lessons are given by experienced native speakers, all of whom have academic degrees and experience in teaching Spanish as a foreign language.
Accreditation: Instituto Cervantes and certified by ADES (Asociación par la difusión del español y de la Cultura Hispánica). 

LOCATION
Our Spanish language school is in Coronado, a 70 000 inhabitants town, located just 10 kilometres away from San José, Costa Rica’s capital. Coronado is a very sunny and green place. Even if Coronado is a rural town, it offers all the conveniences you could expect of a big city. You are just 30 minutes away from San José in public transportation. Our Spanish school is surrounded by 5000 m² of tropical gardens. While you’ll be in Coronado, you will be able to do many activities, such as enjoying the school’s tropical garden, going on excursion and discovering the amazing Costa Rican biodiversity.

ACCOMMODATION :

Host Family: single room, half board (breakfast and evening meal); sheets are provided and laundering is offered once a week; towels are not provided.
Ecological Residence: single room; shared bathroom, no board. The residence is equipped with a small kitchen and a washing machine; wireless Internet, television, sheets are provided, towels not. 

ACTIVITIES :

Learn Spanish and have fun in Costa Rica! Our Spanish school offers a weekly cultural and leisure program: orientation tour of the city for newly arrived students, a twice-a-month cooking class, a dance class etc. Our Spanish school also offers excursions, at an additional cost. 

ELIGIBILITY :

ELIGIBILITY: 16+
Minimum language level: beginner (on scheduled dates)

VISA
Some citizens may just hold a valid passport (Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the USA…) for a stay ≤ 90 days.
Other citizens are allowed to stay up to 30 days with a mere passport (Australia, Bulgaria, Chile, Colombia, Czech Republic…). Citizens of all countries not listed above must obtain a visa from a Costa Rican embassy or consulate before arrival.  For any doubt or further information, please contact the embassy or consulate of the Costa Rica in your country.

Please apply at least 6 weeks before departure to our Spanish School in Costa Rica.
