GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This 4-week French language course in France combines French courses, French homestay and activities and excursions in Paris and surroundings. This French summer camp will not doubt fulfill your needs and expectations!

During the French language courses in France, the student will attend French classes on mornings taught by a French tutor - the student will be part of a group of 4 or 5 students maximum, whose French level is almost the same. This will allow an intensive and efficient French learning process. In order to better inform the French tutor, we will ask from each student a recommendation's letter from the student’s French teacher. Students who compose a group for the French language course in France can be of a different nationalities or share the same mother tongue.

Our French tutors are carefully selected by our local organizers, and are chosen for their skills in teaching French as a foreign language, for their willingness and enthusiasm to share their home culture with young foreign people. Each French tutor will conduct the program for the group he/she handles during the French language courses . Thus, students who «belong» to different tutors may not have the same schedule.

Please note that the small groups of 4 or 5 students may gather for the full day excursion and be guided by one French tutor only.

On weekdays (from Monday to Friday – except when there is a bank holiday), the French tutor will stay all day long with the students he/she is responsible for. This constant immersion in the French language will benefit to the language level of the student and force him to use his French skills to communicate with others during his/her language courses in France.

Generally speaking, mornings are dedicated to French courses at the French tutor’s home or very nearby, and afternoons will allow students to discover Paris, its area and the French culture through visits, excursions and activities. Students use the skills gained during the French course all day long.

3 full day excursions are also planned during the French language course in France.
Please note that Saturdays can be devoted to excursions.

This French summer camp is very well structured and complete.
During this French course in Paris, the student will indeed get:
-36 hours French tuition
-60 hours field trips in Paris area (including lunches)
-3 day excursions

Every evening, and on weekends, the student will be hosted by a French host family who is interested in having contacts and making friends with a student from abroad. French host families welcome the student as part of their family, but get a stipend to cover part of the living costs. A French family can welcome more than one student at the same time provided that they speak different home language (ie one Mexican and one American).

LOCATION
The French language course in France takes place in the Paris area (in Lisses - about 35 to 50 minutes far from Paris city centre with the local train). This exceptional location gives students the unique opportunity of living in a safe, quiet location, while being able to enjoy and discover Paris during the day.

ACCOMMODATION :

A Nacel application form has to be filled in by each participant for the stay; this « profile » is then given to the tutor and the host family by our local organizers, who, in accordance with the tutors, will create the tutorial groups, and will match students to carefully selected host families taking into account the needs and interests of everyone involved.

These host families get a stipend for hosting, because of the high level of living costs in the Paris area.

LESSONS :

ACTIVITIES :

On afternoons, students will go on field trips with their French tutor and they will discover Paris and its area. They may visit Eiffel Tower, Champs de Mars, Trocadéro, Louvres Museum,  Château de Versailles, Notre-Dame de Paris, and many other famous Parisian locations! Don't miss it!

ELIGIBILITY :

A basic knowledge (one year study) of French is required to be able to participate in this French language course in Paris area.

For closed groups, other dates may be arranged.
Shorter stay may be arranged on request.
Longer stay may be arranged with a further homestay program after the French summer camp.
