DESCRIPTION :
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This 3 or 4-week French language courses in France program combines French courses, homestay and activities in Paris and its area.
During the French language courses in France, the student will have French classes on morning with a French tutor - he/she will be part of a group of 4 or 5 (maximum) students, whose French level is almost the same. In order to help the French tutors, we will ask a recommendation from the student’s French teacher. Students who compose a group can be of a different nationality during this French language courses in France program.
French Tutors are carefully selected by our local organizers, and are chosen for their skills in teaching French as a foreign language, for their willingness and enthusiasm to share their home culture with young foreign people. Each French tutor will conduct the program for the group he/she handles during the French language courses program. Thus, students who «belong» to different tutors may not have the same program.
Please note that the small groups of 4 or 5 students may gather for the full day excursion and be guided by one tutor during the French language courses in France program.
During the weekdays of the French language courses program in Paris area(from Monday to Friday – except when there is a bank holiday), the french tutor will stay all the day with the students he/she is responsible for. This constant immersion in French language will benefit to the language level of the student and force him to use his french skills to communicate with others during his/her language courses in France.
Generally speaking, during the language courses in France program, mornings are devoted to French courses at the French tutor’s home or very nearby, the afternoons will allow students to discover Paris, its area and the French culture through visits, excursions and activities, and use the skills they are learning. 3 full day excursions are also planned during the French language courses in France program.
Please note that Saturdays can be devoted to excursions.
During the language courses program in Paris'area, the student will have, with the tutor:
-36 hours French tuition
-60 hours field trips in Paris'area(including lunches)
-3 day excursions
Every evening, and during the weekends, the student will be hosted by a paid French family who is interested in having contacts and making friends with a student from abroad. French host families welcome the student as part of their family. A French family can welcome more than one student at the same time provided that they speak different home language (ie one Mexican and one American).
This language courses in France program can be extended with a pure homestay program in France. The volunteer French host family for the homestay can be located anywhere in the country. If the student chooses to extend the program, he/she will stay with two host families, one for the tutorial stay near Paris, another one for the homestay anywhere in France.
LOCATION
The French language courses in France program takes place in the Paris area (near Lisses - about 35 to 50 minutes far from Paris city centre with the RER). This exceptionnal location gives students the unique opportunity of living in a safe, quiet location, while being able to enjoy and discover Paris during the day. This French language courses in Paris'area is a great opportunity for students.

ACCOMMODATION :
A NACEL application form has to be filled in by each participant for the stay; this « profile » is then given to the tutor and the host family by our local organisers, who, in accordance with the tutors, will create the tutorial groups, and will match students to carefully selected host families taking into account the needs and interests of everyone involved.
LESSONS :
36 hours
ACTIVITIES :
On morning students will have French courses in Paris' area with their tutor.
On afternoon, they will go on field trips with their French tutor and they will discover Paris and its area. They may visit Eiffel Tower, Champs de Mars, Trocadéro, Louvres Museum, Château de Versailles, Notre-Dame de Paris, and many other famous Parisian locations!
ELIGIBILITY :
A basic knowledge (one year study) of French is required to be able to participate in this French language course in Paris'area.

8 weeks before arrival. Late application may be accepted.
