Language Courses Canada (English)

DESCRIPTION :

This English courses in Canada program is a 4 week-program which combines homestay in a Canadian host  family, English language courses on mornings and activities in Canada on afternoons.

ONLY AVAILABLE FOR GROUPS OF 4 STUDENTS MINIMUM TRAVELING TOGETHER

During the first 3 weeks of the language courses in Canada, students will join the English language courses in a Tutorial Centre in Canada in groups of maximum 5 students. There will be an almost individualized teaching on mornings (comprehension, pronunciation, grammar, news document) thanks to the small size of the groups.

On afternoons (till 4pm), activities will be conducted by the tutor during the English language courses in Canada: excursions to discover a Canadian place of historic interest (museum, etc…) or of cultural interest (Town Hall, company, school), sports, meeting with young Canadians, conferences etc…The student will have a total of 72 hours with the English Canadian tutor.

Canadian tutors are carefully selected by our local organizers for this English language courses in Canada program, and are chosen for their skills in teaching English as a foreign language, for their willingness and enthusiasm to share their home culture with young foreign people. Each Canadian tutor will conduct the program for the group he/she handles. Thus, students who « belong » to different Canadian tutors may not have the same program.

During the weekdays (from Monday to Friday – except when there is a bank holiday) of the English language courses in Canada program, the Canadian tutor will stay all the day with the students he/she is responsible for.

Every evening, and during the weekends of the English language courses program, the student will be hosted by a Canadian host family who is interested in having contacts and making friends with a student from abroad. Canadian host families welcome the student as part of their family.

During the fourth week of this English courses in Canada program, as almost all families will not have any holidays, activities will be organized for the student. There are 3 full day excursions included in the price.

Canadian host family, full board.
The student will be hosted in a Canadian host family living in suburban areas or on the countryside. Public transport are not so developed there, which means that the student will be quite dependant of his/her host family. If there is a teenager in the Canadian host family, it’s highly possible that he/she will be working (summer job).

A basic knowledge (one year study) of English is required for these English language courses in Canada.
