Internship in Canada

DESCRIPTION :

This 3-month internship program in Canada combines 6 weeks of specialized language courses and 6 weeks of unpaid job placement.

Nacel International is pleased to offer a high quality and complete unpaid internship program for international students from non-English speaking countries, coming to Canada to improve their English skills and to practice it in a Canadian business environment.

We arrange quality unpaid internships, offering students both the opportunity to internationalize and to improve their English skills as part of an Academic Program. All participants spend six weeks at a College, attending an internship preparation program prior to doing an internship (six weeks). During the internship, participants attend a series of Workshops and Seminars, called Professional Development Series.

While studying Business English at a language school, we will arrange a host company for the student that will allow him/her to link classroom learning to workplace experience. The internship is a monitored work experience related to the student’s academic field of study or previous work experience, and meeting specific learning goals.

All participants receive certificates and references at the end of the program.
This is a language-based module, but the key content and context of the course focuses on soft-skills and cultural skills that enhance or detract from an internship work experience. Students are challenged to perform some detailed self-evaluations in a variety of areas (in English) in order to better prepare themselves for their experience. This is a workshop style with class sizes ranging from 15 to 25 students, with group work and participation being key elements. There is a great deal of peer review as well as detailed error correction provided by the instructor. As well, students will have the option to take additional Business English modules or Grammar based training, depending on their desires after completing this 6 week component of the program.Study time: 30 hours per week.
