Live in a Spanish family in Madrid! The Nacel homestay program in Madrid offers teenagers opportunities to experience the everyday life of a Spanish host family in Madrid. This immersion program in Madrid proudly represents the foundation of all Nacel language programs, offering the chance for a young person from abroad to improve his/her level of Spanish. Language improvement comes from the constant immersion in a Spanish family. The friendship which results from living as a member of a Spanish family encourages continued international communication and understanding.

LOCATION
Madrid is Spain's capital and largest city, with almost 4 million inhabitants. Spain's capital offers some of the best museums in the world, many things to do and see and various distinct, hip neighbourhoods, each with its own special character and something different to offer. You will surely enjoy your Spanish homestay in Madrid!

ACCOMMODATION :

Home stay, full board. We place students in host families in Madrid.

Spanish Host families come from many social and economical backgrounds of life and may live in various locations (in a big town, in a small city, in a village or on a farm...). Wherever the student’s host family lives, there will be wonderful things to discover and absorb. Students can be placed anywhere in the country and must accept any location. It is very important for us to match the students with the host family, so this is what will determine the location of the student. Nacel's coordinators select the host families and are available to answer questions and handle any student/host family concerns during the Spanish homstay in Madrid program.

Note that Spanish host families get a stipend to host a student.

ACTIVITIES :

The new family member is expected to take part in the daily activities of his or her host family in Madrid. Integration into the Spanish family is the ultimate goal of the Spanish homestay in Madrid experience. However host families are not required to organize activities, visits or excursions. The participant comes with its own spending money to cover the costs of activities.

ELIGIBILITY :

A minimum of one to two year of Spanish language study are required to participate in the Spanish Homestay program.

Participants must show that they are mature enough to participate in the Spanish homestay program in Madrid that requires:
-Interest in learning about the Spanish culture
-Deep desire to integrate a different family and share actively their everyday life
-Enthusiasm for improving language communication skills
-Willingness to make new friends
-An open and flexible attitude during the Spanish homestay in Madrid

CONDITIONS - SPANISH HOMESTAY IN SPAIN :

Programs are offered in July 2012:
July 1st to 15th
July 1st to 22nd
July 1st to 29th

Arrival and departure dates may be flexible.

Prices 2012:

PRICE INCLUDES :

- Administration fees
- Spanish Homestay placement on a full board basis
- Airport pick-up and transfer to the host family on arrival and departure
- Support, assistance and 24 hours emergency phone number during the whole program

PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE :

- International airfare
- International Travel insurance
- Visa, passport and medical exam fees
- Extra activities organized by the family or others
- Personal expenses and pocket money
- Medical and Emergency Repatriation Insurance
- Application fees (40 Euros)
