DESCRIPTION :
ELIGIBILITY : 12 to 17 years old.
LENGTH : 2 weeks English summer camp.
LANGUAGE COURSES:,On mornings,language classes will be held during 3 hours from monday to friday during the English summer camp. Participants are in little groups of 10 to 15 students. There will be a level language test on arrival, and an individual ckeck at the end of the camp. All of our teacher in the English summer camp are English and have a further diploma.
ACTIVITIES : During the afternoon at the English summer camp, a large range of outdoor activities is offered: Basket, badminton, baseball, orienteering, football, hockey, table tennis, ultimate, volley, swimming-pool, big games, animated evenings. During our English summer camp, there will also be a full day excursion in London, and two half-day excursions in Oxford and in Windsor. Instructors of our English summer camp have adequate diplomas.
LOCATION : Our summer camp inEngland is in Reading, located an hour away from London. The building offers 250 individual rooms, with bathrooms and showers on each plant. There are many playgrounds. Meals are served on a self-service basis.
OBJECTIVES : The goal of the English summer camp is to develop participant's knowledge of the local language in an international context. During the English summer camp, participantsshare various sports with young people ofmany countries.
SUMMER CAMP: More than an English summer camp, an ethic: We aim at developing a team spirit, empathy and a fair play attitude among the campers.
LANGUAGE LESSONS : The English summer camp offers language courses in small classes of 10 to 15 , 2 or 3 levels. Average of 15 hours language tuition per week. Lessons are delivered by qualified teachers, native speakers of the language taught.
. During the English summer camp, emphasis is set on oral language practice though students will also have a full exposure to grammar and written language.
All our summer camps are based on a non smoking policy.
EVENINGS : Social evenings are organized every night during the English summer camp: social games, karaoke, discos, etc.
EXCURSIONS : Three excursions will be held during the English summer camp: a full day in London; a half day in Oxford; a half day in Windsor
ACCOMMODATION : During the English summer camp, students will be accommodated in individual bedrooms, with bathrooms and showers on each plant. The three meals are provided on site : both lunches and evening meals are hot meals (exceptionnaly, a cold meal can be provided on a full day excursion).
ARRIVALS : Students must arrive on the fixed arrival date at the closest airport indicated for each program.
